Will our data be secure and private?

At Unipr, the security of customer data is the second most important thing we do here, right behind product innovation.

Everybody at Unipr takes the trust of our customers and the security of their data seriously. Our team has deep and broad experience in staying compliant with the demanding security and privacy needs of Fortune 500 companies.

We provide our customers with enterprise-grade security and centralized administration. Our product is a cloud-based, managed, standardized, tested, and externally audited platform with robust access controls that scale to meet customer demand.

We keep our platform updated with industry standards and best practices for the security and privacy of data to earn customers' trust continually. And, we proactively deploy cutting-edge security technology to safeguard against established and emerging threats.

Our cloud platform’s infrastructure and operations are compliant with the following security and privacy standards and frameworks:

- SOC 2 Type II
- ISO 27001
- HIPAA
- GDPR
- Managed VPC
- Organization audit log
- SAML based Single Sign-On
- Real-time Active Directory sync
- Role-based access permissions
- User provisioning and de-provisioning

Our development model follows an adapted implementation of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and industry best practices for quality assurance. Our team incorporates regular static code analysis, threat modeling, third-party vulnerability scanning, and pen-testing into our software development process.

We follow a Responsible Disclosure approach for any vulnerability rated as High or Critical for security-related incidents by our team. We transparently keep our customers and partners informed when we foresee vulnerabilities emerging that could disrupt data flow. And where applicable, we create software fixes as soon as possible and provide mitigation until fixed.

As such, we actively monitor all our production environments to identify and resolve any vulnerabilities that could compromise data security.

We frequently work with customer-designated third parties who perform vulnerability assessments of our infrastructure, platform, and applications.

When can we expect to see ROI?

We deliver return on investment to customers by unifying their projects' data from disparate tools and predicting outcomes for key performance indicators in the future based on execution history.

Suppose you have existing projects in tools we already integrate with, which you want to unify. In that case, you should be able to synchronize and begin to see predictive analysis of your data within 24 hours of signing up for the first time.

We have already mapped all the common field types (task names, start and end dates, milestones, etc.) with the project tools we integrate with (agile or waterfall). You can select your project tools and projects within them to start syncing data.

After your data is synching accurately and reliably, you should be able to start seeing additional predictive analytics data populated in new fields and see it automatically reported in our executive dashboards.

We expect you will save costs due to the time and effort saved in collecting and collating data in spreadsheets from various projects and project tools and then creating slides using the cumulative data for portfolio-level reporting and decision making. We will automate this process through our technology.

Additionally, we expect to deliver long-term value to you through our predictive analytics data, which will help your pipeline, portfolio, program, and project leaders to future-proof their decisions to realize even better outcomes.

How easy is it to learn the basics?

New users can learn how to use the core capabilities of Unipr in under an hour.

However, becoming an expert in using various PPM capabilities depends on prior knowledge.

What is on your product roadmap?

For the near-term product roadmap, we have three priorities:
1. Incorporating additional innovative visualizations of meaningful portfolio and pipeline KPIs our customers care about
2. Increasing the number of integrations with a broader pool of tools used by project teams and portfolio and pipeline leaders
3. Improving the quality of our inference and prediction algorithms using the emerging AI techniques in supervised machine learning

Who have you worked with before?

While our technology is new, it is the evolution of an Intelligent Cloud-based PPM platform that has served customers from Fortune 500 companies to venture-backed startups for nearly a decade.

Who usually buys your services?

Titles vary, yet our customers are usually operations leaders responsible for a portfolio of high-stakes programs and projects in life science and healthcare.

How soon can we start using it?

It starts with a conversation to understand your business needs and to explore mutual fit, followed by a custom demo to your team, leading to a 90-day pilot. After that, you decide if an annual software & service agreement makes sense.

Can you align different data structures?

Our focus is more on the purpose of data inside tools and less on the way tools structure their data. To unify, we interpret the type of data in various fields and not what different companies call those fields inside their tools.

Since we pull data from cloud-based project tools using APIs, we identify and map the data types we are drawing in. So, for example, activity names, start and end dates, milestones, etc., could be called by different names, but they are essentially the same things.

Although we focus on data type, our system does remember specific naming conventions used by various tools/teams/companies for each integration. Our approach ensures that we can send the data back accurately to your teams inside their tools after processing and enhancing your data.

For example, we might add projected end dates to your planned end dates using our algorithms. Or the skill-based resourcing information you added when your data was in Unipr. Or, we add actual expense data we pulled from your finance tools related to your project or program. Or, add dependencies from other teams with workflows that influence your project or program but are not using your tool.

Often we will be able to create new fields and populate them as well, but sometimes we will need to ask you to create additional fields in your tool to accept the data we send to you.

The idea is to unify and then harmonize your data from different tools to offer predictions that make your decision-making more confident and powerful.
